Hi - my name is Angelina Jolin. My late father Einar Jolin was born in 1890 in Stockholm.

He later went to Paris to study art under Henri Matisse, and later he brought modern art to Sweden. My mother was born Scheremetiew, her father Count Michail Scheremetiew, escaped the russian revolution, he hid behind a cole sack on a ship that took him to Stockholm, Moscow Airport was named after him and his summer estate Ostankina with its private theatre is now shown as a museum. My mother became an opera singer under the name Tatiana Angelini (Walt Disney himself picked her for the voiceover of Snow White in 1937). I spent my summers at Axel Munch’s Villa San Michele in Capri and thus I early got a taste for Italy. I was schooled as a classical dancer but I grew too tall, so I started modelling. Next I trained as a chef at Cordon Bleu in Paris, and I learned business in New York CIty, at NYU (I had moved to New York when my mother remarried CBS anchorman Charles Collingwood). I started as a Contributing Editor for all ELLE magazines in Sweden and now, for many years, I have worked as a fashion stylist for Elle, GQ, Maxim, Photo and Vogue. I also produce travel and food guides for ELLE, as well as articles on fashion and interior design. I also have a company that produce fashion and advertising shoots worldwide. I travel all the time for my work.
My Work Gear
I love wearing black dresses to work, I feel elegant and yet comfortable, and my flat Tory Burch ballerinas – though sometimes I wear True Religion Jeans and a white men’s shirt and boots, I love my Cesare Paciotti cowboy boots. I always wear nice shoes, I love Manolo Blahnik and handbags (right now I am wearing model Greta Cavazzanis’ bag, and jewelery from Rebecca, and my Chinchilla fur coat that I bought in an East Village thrift store).
What I Cannot Do Without For My Work
Blackberry...and my Tempur Pedic eyemask and NARS bronzing powder, Madly.
My Downtime Gear
Naked in my down slippers.
My Sports
In NYC I do a lot of walking and some yoga, love disco dancing!
In My IPOD
Charles Aznavour and Trenet, Barry White and arias by Verdi and Puccini sung by Jussi Björling.

Best Hotel Experience
The Bulgari Hotels & Resorts Milano. I long for my next hotel visit there!
My Favorite Foods and Drinks
Lots of tea - best High Tea in NYC is at The Carlyle, a Rosewood Hotel - and champagne with a lychée fruit, or cafe latte but only at Bottega Del Vino in NYC. I love fresh watermelon juice and coconut water. I love the japanese food at Geisha NYC, Hampton Chutney for an Indian dosa in SOHO, Mexican tacos at La Esquina: I am crazy about hummus and most Lebanese food (Naya in NYC is great). Italian is also a favorite cuisine but it is always better in Italy. I love macarons au chocolats at La Durée or Carettes in Paris.

Capri, Gotland and St Barth’s … where else IS there?
Favorite Beaches
Harbour Island, Bahamas. And Gouverneur Plage in St Barth’s.
Fashion Icons
My mother, Pucci and Valentino.
My Reading
At the moment I am reading David Heith-Stade’s Being Praise, and the chic-lit Elsa by a fellow colleague, stylist Sofi Fahrman.
My Ambition
To be a good mother.
