If you are looking for an authentic Parisian palace experience, then Le Meurice is the place. It is a true 18th Century gem that has enjoyed a modern makeover at the hands of Philippe Starck.

Honestly I can’t imagine a better location. The hotel is a focal point of the ultra stylish 1st Arrondissement. Paris is an ideal place for people who love to explore a city on foot. Perched between Place de la Concorde and the Louvre Museum Le Meurice is an outstanding jumping-off point for meanderers.

I have stayed here at the height of summer and in the middle of Fashion Week. It is impossible to deny the excitement and energy of Paris during Fashion Week.

My most memorable meal was my room service breakfast. It was, in a word, indulgent. And although I loved almost everything about my room, I must admit I did not love having to pay extra for wireless Internet. It seems to me Internet should be free at a hotel of this caliber. Bar 228 is an excellent place to relax with a cocktail and watch the who’s who (along with their entourage and wannabes) mix and mingle.

If you are looking for a taste of the palatial mixed with a dash of modernity in Paris then Le Meurice is ideal.
