At the top of the Piazza Di Spagna

- Juliana Scaligine,

Rome has always been one of my favorite cities in the world. And one of my favorites spots in Rome is Piazza Di Spagna, also known as The Spanish Steps.

At the very stop of those steps sits one of the most prestigious privately owned hotels in Italy, The Hotel Hassler Roma.

During my recent trip to Italy, I had the pleasure of experiencing the hotel and what can I say? The hotel embodies Italian luxury in every which way. Royalty and celebrities from all over the world have been staying there since the hotel opened in 1893.

The Location is outstanding.  The hotel is literally just a staircase away from some of the most amazing shopping in the world, fabulous restaurants and cafes and sightseeing opportunities on every corner.

When I entered my suite, I was greeted by the delicious scent of Italian Jasmine, Tuberose, Bergamot and Lemon. I later discovered the hotel’s Owner, President and General Manager, Robert E. Wirth, created the hotel’s own signature perfume called Amorvero- which means Real Love in Italian.

The rooms are gorgeous. Depending on the floor you’re on, they all have completely unique styles.

My particular suite was on the 5th floor which has recently been renovated into a more contemporary style but while still withholding a classic elegance.

There was attention to detail in every aspect in the décor, Murano chandeliers, French crystal, Italian marble…

The entire experience made me feel like a royal, just the way I like it! For a truly lavish experience, the Hassler Roma, is the perfect hotel.
