If you’re in a generous mood this Friday, attend the International Contemporary Art Foundation’s 4th Annual Pajama Party, held at Louisville’s very own art hotel: 21c Museum Hotel. Always an outrageous and extravagant event, guests will kick off their weekend in Louisville with spectacular entertainment, outstanding cuisine and, of course, charitable contributions to six local organizations, all while socializing in their favorite pair of PJ’s.
If you’re going to be in Louisville, Kentucky this weekend, you won’t want to miss the International Contemporary Art Foundation’s annual fundraiser. The Annual Pajama Party is a night of entertainment, cuisine and fun, and is being held at our favorite hotel in Louisville, 21c Museum Hotel.
Kicking off at 6:30 p.m., guests will sport their favorite PJ’s and nightgowns for a street party at 7th and Main Streets. The after party, which takes place in 21C Museum’s Atrium gallery, starts at 9 p.m. and runs late.
Guests to the party will get to donate to six local arts organizations to show their support for the arts in Louisville. The local organizations are Ky Shakespeare Festival, Louisville Youth Orchestra, Blue Apple Players, Bunbury Theatre, Walden Theatre and the West Louisville Performing Arts Academy.
You’ll also have your last chance at this year’s fundraiser to bid on your favorite “local” through a silent auction. Take home a portrait of such legends as Muhammad Ali, Mayor Jerry Abramson, artist Ed Hamilton and other longtime supporters and friends of 21c, all commissioned as part of the 100 Portraits Series in 2006.
21c is the perfect venue for such an outrageous and crazy event, and a great spot to stay for a weekend getaway in Louisville. As the city’s best art hotel, you’ll love the design, art exhibits and general atmosphere here. We featured 21c Museum Hotel earlier this year on the Jetsetter.
