Cannes Film Festival 2010: Details and Hotels

- Melanie Zieba,

The Cannes Film Festival is a special time for lovers of the Cinema, this year taking place from May 12th to the 23rd. It’s when we get to discover new talents within the film industry as well as giving the possibility for budding filmmakers to immerge. And this year American film director Tim Burton is the Jury President where he, along with other jurors will determine the prizes for the feature films in competition.

2010 marks the 63rd year of celebrating cinema and will open with the film “Robin Hood” Ridley Scott and stars Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett and will be shown out of competition. And although this year’s selection has still yet to be released, based on winning films of years past including, A Prophet, The Class and Dancer in the Dark, there is no doubt that this year will bring many new films that will inspire and change the way we view the world.

Cannes is known to be one of the best cities in the French Riviera and a wonderful coastal destination famous for its luxury shops, restaurants, French art galleries and of course some of the best luxury hotels to stay at.
