If you’re planning on attending the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters April 13-21, 2013, the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort would be the ideal location: at the beach and right next to Country Club where the tennis tourney takes place. Those who expect to spend more time in Casino Square will have a long walk ahead of them though (perhaps that’s a plus—it’s time to strategize). But there is a slot-only casino onsite for those wanting to dabble.
The pool areas, both indoor and outdoor, are quite spectacular, especially having such a large space in a expensive city like Monaco. This makes it a great resort away from the busy city (but not too far).
The design is clean, contemporary. All the rooms have spacious balconies with seating where guests can enjoy sea or city views. The mini bars are well equipped, and include espresso machines, and the bed was a cozy as can be. Awaiting me in my room was a welcome card, a bottle of champagne and high-end chocolates. At night, I found the turndown service extra special, as they offer small sample products from their spa line, Cinq Mondes Spa. I especially loved the face/pillow relaxing mist.
Carrying unique products with African and Moroccan influences, the Cinq Mondes Spa is nearly 9,700 square feet and was awarded a “Best Resort Spa” title in 2012. Taking a treatment here during your stay is a must-do.
