Who says expecting couples can’t have fun? Abama Golf and Spa Resort in the Canary Islands is doing something a bit different for expecting and new parents this year through its Babymoon program.
Expectant mom’s have their current health state diagnosed, and the resort puts together a tailored wellbeing program based on its five pillars of Beauty, Rejuvenation, Relaxation, Revitalization and Balance.
The Abama Total Wellness Program takes the stress out of planning a healthy escape and ensures that every aspect of the young mother’s experience is centred on pampering and wellbeing.
A complete pre or post natal fitness and wellbeing program includes spa treatments, healthy dining around the signature hotel restaurants, healthy cooking and nutrition workshops and specially designed wellness in-room amenities and mini-bar.
Abama Total Wellness can be tailored to suit the needs of expectant mothers where special dietary, exercise and yoga techniques prepare mothers for their new arrival. A special diet and exercise program can also be designed to help new mothers recover their fitness and shape again after birth.
Fathers will enjoy Abama’s 72-par, 18 hole Dave Thomas golf course that features lakes, waterfalls and lush landscaping combined with unbeatable views of the sea and surrounding course.
In case the new arrival is not the first: Club Abami is a service that is provided to children who are guests of Abama ages 3-12 years. Club Abami is open from 10 a.m. until midnight daily and offers a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities. A children’s swimming pool is also located in close proximity to the Kids’ Club. Baby Abami is available to children ages 6 – 36 months and operates from Tuesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Nanny services are also available for children under 3 years of age.
