Feel Like Royalty at Tribe the Village Market Hotel in Nairobi

- Melissa Mewdell,

If you want to feel like royalty, your best bet is to stay where the royal-types stay. Take Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha of Thailand, for example. The UN Goodwill Ambassador just checked in to Tribe – The Village Market Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya. You can see her photo to the left, courtesy of Mia Collis.

Attending the African Preparatory Meeting for the 12th UN Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, Princess Bajrakitiyabha is staying in Tribe’s Presidential Suite so that she can be close to the United Nations’ offices in the city.

It’s not hard to see why diplomats, ambassadors and royalty like staying here – Tribe is all about location!

This hotel isn’t just close to the United Nations and other official offices; it’s adjacent to the Village Market Shopping and Recreation Centre, which make it ideal for guests who also want to enjoy excellent shopping in Nairobi during their stay. The Village Market Shopping and Recreation Centre is a destination in and of itself as it is East Africa’s largest shopping complex.

It has more than 150 shops, cinemas, a bowling alley, water slides and more than 20 different restaurants.

Tribe Hotel in KenyaBoasting a trendy, modern design, this hotel in Nairobi manages to mix Africa’s rustic flair with all of the conveniences one would expect from a hotel of this caliber. For example, you’ll find large LCD TVs, excellent internet connectivity, high pressure showers and striking floor to ceiling mirrors in all of the hotel’s rooms, and, of course, paintings from Kenyan artists.

  1. I have seen the hotel from the website but have never paid an actual visit to the place. From the photos, it looks like a very fantastic place to spend a night in. We would love to list the hotel at our website directory.
