Fresh Picks: An Infinity Pool with a View

- Joy Pecknold, Passport blog editor

Fresh Picks features the latest luxury properties admitted into the Kiwi Collection. In line with the past Picks post “A Room With a View”, we’ve got three new hotels to show you that offer some infinitely gorgeous views from their infinity pools.

Carpe Diem
Seize the day? More like seize a suite here and occupy the pool. Awash in blue, white and tangerine sunsets, this hotel named for a Latin life motto is perched on a hillside of Pyrgos in Santorini, Greece. With just 10 rooms, the experience is quiet, private and intimate. For those who don’t care to share their cool dips with strangers, take the luxury suite with its own pool.

Part coffee plantation, part luxury spa retreat, this resort in Java, Indonesia is where one leaves the daily grind behind to get a java kick and a health kick too. They offer complete retreat packages that cover a variety of interests, from Fitness & Weight Management to Destress & Indulgence. Their infinity pool looks out onto lush rainforest and rolling hills. Idyllic doesn’t begin to describe it.

The Inn at Dos Brisas
The infinity pool at this inn on 300-acres in Washington, Texas isn’t the biggest we’ve seen, but it’s an unconventional one. Here, guests can have breakfast, then take a few steps into the cool blue aqua and eavesdrop on equines. The retreat is also home to the only Forbes Five-Star restaurant in the state. Part of what makes the food so good is that the property has its own certified organic farm to harvest from. For those who tire of the pool view, there’s plenty of other activities, including fly fishing, horseback riding, skeet shooting and mountain biking, or the somewhat less active wine tastings and cooking classes.
