Fresh Picks: Brush Creek Ranch

- Joy Pecknold, Passport blog editor

Fresh Picks features the latest luxury properties admitted into the Kiwi Collection. This week, we city slickers check out Brush Creek Ranch in Wyoming.

Where: The ranch sits on a whopping 15,000 acres in South Central Wyoming’s North Platte River Valley on the outskirts of Saratoga. A postcard picture of the American West, the 19th century working ranch is replete with rolling hills, horses, cattle, bison, and boundless natural beauty.

What: Choose from lodge rooms, the more private cabins, or the most secluded Magee Homestead, which comes with its very own lodge, seven cabins and staff—an ideal stomping ground for that country wedding or family reunion. The décor is done cool, chic Western, like what you’d expect a Julia Roberts-owned ranch photographed for the pages of Vogue or InStyle to look like. Amenities in the cabins include full kitchens (they’ll also stock your fridge for you) and spacious porches with expansive views. Activities on the property include fly fishing the creek, and horseback riding and hiking on 50 miles of trails, or you can try your hand at hunting. Don’t forget to dine at The Chuck Wagon and detox at The Trailhead Spa.

Who: Those who want to live out a ranch fantasy along the lines of Legends of the Fall, All the Pretty Horses, or The Man from Snowy River, but would like to forgo any of the hardships.

Why: We’re chuffed to wear chaps, or rather have a legit reason to wear chaps.
