Fresh Picks: La Maison Champs Elysées

- Joy Pecknold, Passport blog editor

“Fresh Picks” features the latest luxury properties admitted into the Kiwi Collection. This week, we take a peek inside the très chic La Maison Champs Elysées.

Where: Oui, Paris. Right around the corner from the Triangle d’Or (think Chanel, Dior, Ferragamo, Fendi) and Grand Palais. Talk about location, location, location!

What: The boutique hotel houses 57 rooms and suites in total, 17 of which are designated the “Couture Collection” as they were designed by the ever-brilliant, ever-elusive Martin Margiela. In a palette dominated by black and white, those rooms reflect the avant-garde designer’s stark yet whimsical sensibilities. The on-site aprés-shop sip, smoke and nosh options are just as deliciously offbeat, including an all-black Cigar Bar and White Lounge.

Who: Fashion fiends with euros to spare.

Why: It doesn’t get much more glamorous than designer shopping by day and designer sleeping by night, non?
