Fresh Picks: The Regent Phuket Cape Panwa

- Joy Pecknold, Passport blog editor

Fresh Picks features the latest luxury properties admitted into the Kiwi Collection. This week, we check out the new Regent Phuket Cape Panwa.

Where: Just 15 minutes from Phuket Town, Thailand, the resort is set apart on beautiful Cape Panwa overlooking the Andaman Sea, where Leonardo di Caprio, Elizabeth Taylor and Pierce Brosnan have also frolicked.

What: Opened in December 2012, the 22 pavilions and 48 suites still have that intoxicating new room smell. Their styling is tropical meets posh. When it comes time to dine, there’s casual variety to be had at The Grill, Thai and Asian cuisine at The Restaurant, special spirits at The Library Lounge and refreshing sips and snacks at The Beach Bar. Your trip wouldn’t be compete without a Thai massage, and they offer that and more at their spa. A children’s club onsite also means you can squeeze some couple time in.

Who: Those looking for a Phuket-meets-Beverly-Hills holiday.

Why: Coconut water and azure waters. There is no why when it comes to Thailand.
