Fresh Picks: White Hot Hotels

- Joy Pecknold, Passport blog editor

“Fresh Picks” features the latest luxury properties admitted into the Kiwi Collection. This week, we take a peek inside six hotels, from Turkey to Thailand, that befit a white hot theme (in the most literal sense).

Riad Villa Blanche
The name says it all. From the moment you arrive at its coastal Moroccan address, the property is “palette” cleansing.

SALA Samui Resort and Spa
This resort situated on Samui Island (where else?) in Thailand offers lots of white, in the form of sandy beaches outside and airy bedrooms inside, plus lots of hot, thanks to a tropical climate.

Kapama Karula Private Game Reserve
Lighter shades of pale abound at this picturesque property in South Africa’s Kruger National Park. Park the jeep to look out for White Rhinos by day, park your derrière on an ivory chaise in the lounge by night.

Anticavilla Hotel
An hour away from Mexico City, the city of Cuernavaca is where Aztec emperors once had summer homes and this mansion-turned luxury hotel is located. While the place is decorated with plenty of color pops, its outdoor Verdesalvia Restaurant is primarily and prettily unpigmented.

RIVA Konsantz
With a constant view of Germany’s Lake Constance, this hotel offers lots of lightness. Both the building’s facade and its on-site restaurant are dressed in bright white. But to keep hot while its cool there, try taking the stunning circular staircase back to your suite.

The House Hotel Bosphorous
Picture yourself at this milky-hued hotel harborside in Istanbul kicking back on one of the penthouse patio’s white, cast iron café chairs, the all-white exterior behind you and boats making frothy white wake before you.
