Where in the world do our well-traveled Kiwi Experts most like to overnight? Every Thursday, a different expert dishes on their five favorite hotels of the moment. Time for SVP of Business Development and lead Asia Pacific curator Bradley Cocks (also a recent Mr Porter style council inductee) to chime in.
1. Nihiwatu, Sumba, Indonesia
This is my playground for extreme sports. And those would be: surfing (the wave is on the resort’s doorstep), fishing, trekking, diving and boating. This eco-resort cannot be replicated.
That’s Brad taking a left, no sweat, at Nihiwatu
2. Park Hyatt, Shanghai, China
I really find this hotel aesthetically pleasing, which in general I struggle with when it comes to modern architecture. It is hard to fault any component of this experience. A must-visit.

3. Moana Surfrider A Westin Resort and Spa, Waikiki, Oahu, Hawaii
When I’m here, I am always stay in the historic wing, surf four times a day, eat exceptionally fresh sushi and relax with drink-in-hand under the banyan tree.

4. Le Meurice, Paris, France
The number one location in Paris, if you ask me. An amazing restaurant, and ultra high-end clientele.

5. The Connaught, London, England
I stay here because I love the Mayfair area, and the hotel’s floor-to-ceiling windows provide fresh air and unobstructed views of the local neighborhood.
