Review of the Pantages Hotel Toronto Centre

- Hailey Taylor,

If I’ve learned anything from the traveling I’ve done over the years, it’s that the location of your hotel is everything. It can often make or break a trip. Lucky for me in this case, it made it.

I recently had the privilege of spending two nights in the Pantages Hotel Toronto Centre – which, quite frankly, couldn’t possibly have had a better location.

Literally one block from Dundas Square (the ‘Times Square’ of Toronto), this Toronto hotel was close to everything you could possibly want to see and enjoy in the heart of this vibrant city.

From shopping at Eaton Centre, a three-minute walk away, to the Canon Theatre, one of Toronto’s oldest and most impressive venues close by, and Yonge Street, Canada’s longest street, just around the corner – I was set.

My room was just as impressive as the location, offering every amenity one could possibly need, creating that home away from home feel. (I shouldn’t really call it a room though; it was more like a giant studio apartment split into two rooms. I could have hosted a party had I known more people in the city!) Boasting a contemporary style, my studio offered a living room area, full kitchen (complete with dishwasher, fridge, pots, and pans, you name it), two flat screen televisions, i-Pod dock (love it), and a bedroom with an extremely large bed with crisp white bed linens.

And although I didn’t use them, there was also a washer and dryer right in my closet. This studio was just asking me to move in!

After a long day of enjoying all that Toronto has to offer, the Martini Bar at the Pantages Hotel The Pantages: Hotels in TorontoToronto Centre is the ideal spot to unwind, while sipping on a signature drink and enjoying good conversation.

Featuring a sleek double-sided fireplace and glowing bar area, the ambiance here is quite enjoyable. A separate seating area can be found just past the fireplace with a rather large bookshelf, perfect for quiet conversation and informal meetings as well.

A key feature of the Pantages Hotel Toronto Centre is the Shizen Spa. Inspired by the Zen qualities of growth, flow and regeneration, this hotel strives to create a relaxing atmosphere. One of the ways they focus on this is through the countless amenities and services they provide from the Meditation CD that I received upon check-in, to the yoga mat in my closet, and through the Lifestyles Team offering lifestyle practices that assist in relaxation and wellness.

One thing I know for sure is that it’s hard to leave this hotel without feeling relaxed. I’m hoping to return to this lovely city soon, because my short visit was just not long enough!
