Spotlight: The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas

- Joy Pecknold, Passport blog editor

In our Spotlight series we showcase one property and highlight its most fantastic features—both the latest and longstanding. This week, we find special pampering at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.

Spot: Well-situated on the Strip, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas has 2,995 rooms to meet different guests desires. The suites are the sweetest. Choose from the big, three-level Bungalows situated poolside at the Marquee, perfect for groups (a bachelorette party, perhaps) which also offer a private Jacuzzi and outdoor bar; the two-level Lanais suites overlooking the Bamboo Pool, the Terrace suites which offer bird’s eye views of glittering city below (ask for one with a fountain view); and, more. There are 13 restaurants when it comes down to chow down, plus a delicious 24-hour unnamed, unmarked pizza place down a corridor next to Marquee.

Highlight: To stay loose and sprightly in the face of all that champagne, dancing and Blackjack, a spa treatment is a must. At the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas’ staggering 43,000-square-foot Sahra Spa and Hammam, you get the truest hammam experience in Sin City. The hammam room, with separate area for steam and cold water plunge pools, can be used by up to four guests, but solo time is the best time. Opt for the Sahra Journey treatment, which incorporates cleansing, purifying, and exfoliating methods into a 2.5-hour treatment. The setting is absolutely tranquil, replete with sculptural walls reflective of Red Rock Canyon made using local sandstone and heated stone loungers.
