As luck would have it, one of our most luxurious hotels in Nairobi is having an exclusive offer this Valentine’s Day for “Legendary Lovers”.

Only two rooms are available for this offer, which makes it extremely exclusive and special.

Guests will stay in either the Presidential Suite or the Penthouse at Tribe – the Village Market Hotel (where heads of state and celebrities stay), enjoy a lobster dinner at Epic Gifts, have early check in or late check out and brunch at the hotel. The best part of the package is the helicopter ride to Naviasha (popular among tourists who are interested in Kenya’s wildlife) to watch the sunset.

Boys will be Boys - Especial on Stage in Front of Thousands of People!

Wyclef and Akon Bare All at MAMA 2009, Much to the Delight of Female Audience Members

Nairobi shook on Oct. 10 when the biggest and best in African music received their awards at the much anticipated MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA), now in its second year.

The event was hosted at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani Indoor Arena, and the exclusive after party was held at one of Nairobi’s best hotels: Tribe – The Village Market Hotel.

Highlights of the evening, aside from seeing D’Banj of Nigeria win “best artist of the year” and Amani win the “best female award”, were the antics between international hip hop legend (and MAMA host) Wyclef Jean, and superstar and headliner for the evening, Akon.

The pair decided to have a crazy push-up contest on stage to see who had the bigger guns.

And, when the ladies in the audience thought things couldn’t get hotter, the pair did back-flips up to the front of the stage and pulled down their pants. (Akon actually shoved a microphone down his boxers… how much that mic is worth now? Inquiring minds want to know.)

Find Yourself on a Unique and Exciting Beach Vacation in Kenya

Thursday, September 10th, 2009

If you are planning on taking a different sort of beach vacation this year, consider staying along the coast of Kenya close to Mombasa (Kenya’s second largest city). Here, you can not only enjoy the warm waters of the Indian Ocean, but also embark on some exciting excursions to view Africa’s wildest animals!

One of the best hotels outside of Mombasa is Msambweni Beach House and Private Villas. This gorgeous resort only has six suites and is one of the most intimate hotels in our collection! It’s not just the size and, consequently, the unique atmosphere of this family-run resort that make it so different.

Suite in Msambweni Beach House in KenyaWe think that you’ll be hard pressed to find a more unique location for a beach and safari vacation.

Msambweni is surrounded by 28 acres of countryside and is located right on 700 feet of private beach in Africa – definitely a trip of a lifetime.

Guests have the option of staying in one of the three spacious suites in the main house, one of the two villas, or in the luxury tent.

In the main house, you’ll love the high ceilings, private verandahs and Swahili décor. The chalk-white walls and white linen keep the Msambweni feeling cool when it is hot outside. We particularly enjoy the resort’s infinity pool, right close to the house.

The Villas have their own swimming pools and Jacuzzis overlooking the Ocean. Guests who stay in the villas will enjoy their own private cook and waiter, who are available for your every need at all times.

Guests often spend their entire vacations relaxing on the pristine beach or tanning by the pools. But, if you want to get up to some serious mischief during your stay, take advantage of the numerous activities available either at Msambweni or close by. For example, you can go snorkeling, fishing, kite surfing, wind surfing, mountain biking, diving and deep sea fishing. Nearby, there’s also an 18-hole golf course for avid golfers.

Infinity Pool at Msambweni Beach House in KenyaAnimal lovers and safari fanatics are also in luck, Close by, you can visit Kisite Marine National Park (one of the best spots to swim with sea turtles and dolphins), Shimba Hills (where you can see sable antelope and elephants) and the Masai Mara (a large park reserve that is only 30 minutes away).

At Masai Mara, you’ll see the “Big Five”: lions, African elephants, cape buffalo, leopards and black rhinos, Africa’s most beautiful and sought after animals.
