Refreshing Fridays: Take the Olympic Gold!
Friday, February 26th, 2010With the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games coming to a close this weekend, why not throw your own closing ceremonies party with a Gold Cocktail?
Gold Cocktail recipe:
-2 1/2 oz Vodka
-1 1/2 oz Malibu Coconut Rum
-1 tsp shredded coconut
- Coconut flakes (for garnish)
-Edible gold powder (available at bakery/cake decorating outlets)
First, coat the bottom of a martini glass with the edible gold powder. Combine the remaining ingredients into an ice filled martini shaker, shake well and strain. If you like, add a little more gold powder to deepen the color and sprinkle with coconut flakes.

Private tennis courts, ping pong, bars, beach side restaurants and white lounge chairs and beds are spread out around the resort. It was a perfect heaven after hectically driving from San Miguel de Allende to Mexico City, then flying to Zihuatanejo.
I looked beyond the plunge pool and I could see the ocean. What a breath of fresh air!
