Acclaimed Australian artist, Tim Maguire is best known for his work as a painter. His work is characterized as both figurative and abstract and recognized by his unique ability to layer colour in a manner that reflects conventional commercial colour printing techniques.
After Maguire was awarded the Moet and Chandon Australian Art Fellowship he and his family moved to France where they lived for many years. During this period, his work was displayed in a solo show at the Chisenhale Gallery in London and included in the prestigious Prospeckt in Frankfurt. His success has led to ongoing exhibitions in Germany, Switzerland, Holland and the UK.
Maguire has also staged annual solo shows at his representative galleries in Sydney and Melbourne. These exhibitions featured his paintings and more recently, large-scale prints, photographs and films.
