The 2012 lineup for Coachella was announced yesterday. The Black Keys, Radiohead, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, and other bands take to the Indio desert stages April 13-15 and 20-22. Remaining festival passes go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. PST. Once you’ve nabbed one, you’ll need a place to stay.
For those who don’t wish to rough it camping on-site overnight (really, three days of rock, dust and drinking will be rough enough), hotels are booking up fast, but a few are still showing availability. Perks at these posher places include possible celeb sightings, cool pools and privacy. Take your pick:
In Rancho Mirage (15 miles from venue)
Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa – Rates from $319 USD

Westin Mission Hills Resort – Rates from $329 USD (April 20-22 weekend only)

In Palm Springs (25 miles from venue)
Riviera Resort & Spa – Rates from $499 USD

In Temecula (75 miles from venue)
Temecula Creek Inn – Rates from $229 USD

Some of the other confirmed acts on the So Cal festival’s eclectic schedule include ’90s relics Pulp, Mazzy Star and Noel Gallagher; folk-pop troubadours Bon Iver, Andrew Bird, M.Ward and Beirut; electronic monarchs M83, Miike Snow, Justice, the Weeknd and Girl Talk; songbirds Feist, St. Vincent and Cat Power; and music magazine darlings Arctic Monkeys and Florence and the Machine.
