- Joy Pecknold, Passport blog editor

If after tuning into the Golden Globes, you’ve got the itch to rub elbows with a few film stars, your most immediate opportunity is to get thee to the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. It starts this Thursday, running from January 19-29, 2012. Here’s the lowdown on who still has rooms left.

You’ll have to pray to Robert Redford that something opens up for opening weekend, but from January 22-29, the following area hotels have some availability:

Waldorf Astoria Park City – Rates from $829 USD

Montage Deer Valley – Rates from $845 USD

The St. Regis Deer Valley – Rates from $1,225 USD

And what bold face names might you see there? Premieres, the category containing flicks with recognizable cast lists, could draw any number of celebs looking to ski and schmooze. There’s the Bachlorette, a Will Ferrell-produced picture starring Kirsten Dunst, Isla Fisher and James Marsden. Comedy Lay the Favorite culls Bruce Willis, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Rebecca Hall and Joshua Jackson. Susan Saradon and Richard Gere tête-à-tête in the thriller Arbitrage. Rashida Jones, Andy Samberg and Elijah Wood all star in Celeste and Jesse Forever. Certainly we’ve listed enough names there that at least one of them is a guarantee. Fingers crossed it’s Will Ferrell.
