Artists who are looking for a creative retreat this spring will really like Arajilla Artists’ Retreats – think warm weather, gorgeous scenery, and art lessons from some of Australia’s best talent all on beautiful Lord Howe Island.
Each retreat takes place from a Friday to a Monday (four days and three nights), making for a fun, creative long weekend.
While on the retreat at this gorgeous boutique hotel on Lord Howe Island, you’ll partake in drawing and painting with the artist in both studio and at spectacular Lord Howe outdoor locations, evening art lectures, discussions and films.
And it wouldn’t be a retreat without a small group size – there’s only a maximum of 10 participants allowed.
Guy Maesti (this year’s Archibald prize winner) will be leading the June 2010 session (June 4 to June 7, 2010).
At only 12 suites, Arajilla Retreat is truly a luxurious, relaxing escape from the every day.
Guests will love the resort’s tranquil and soft design, and stunning location on one of Australia’s most beautiful islands.
There’s plenty to do outdoors here, so be prepared to spend some time snorkeling, hiking, fishing or mountain biking.
