Vid Trippin’: This Is My Home

- Joy Pecknold, Passport blog editor

Curiosity might have killed the cat, but it’s the lifeblood of travelers looking to uncover hidden treasure in, for instance, New York’s East Village.

What appeared to be an antique shop on East 7th Avenue between 1st and Avenue A is home to a man who simply loves to collect, that’s what filmmakers Mark Cersosimo and Kelsey Holtaway discovered when they went out for ice cream one night. If you want to stay in his neck of the woods, The Standard East Village is just a just a couple blocks away and gives you a bird’s-eye view of the neighborhood.
