There’s never a bad time of year to visit the beautiful Canary Islands in Spain. Consisting of seven major islands, one minor island and several small islets, these volcanic North Atlantic islands have mild temperatures all year long and sandy beaches for all to enjoy.
Tenerife, is one of the best islands to visit. Not only is it home to the majority of the people who live in the Canary Islands, but it’s home to “the Teide Volcano”, which is the highest mountain in Spain (and the third largest volcano on Earth).
And, if that isn’t a draw enough, who can forget the sandy beaches and sunshine, best enjoyed during the summer.
When visiting, we suggest staying at the Abama Hotel Resort. This five-star hotel in the Canary Islands is found on the west coast of the island and offers a wide variety of accommodation options. There isn’t a bad room in this luxury hotel because it’s located on the top of a cliff. All suites and rooms having spacious terraces and great views.
During the day, explore the island or enjoy the many activities at the Abama resort. For example, guests can relax on the private beach, or play a game of golf at the 18-hole golf course and academy or even soak up some sun at one of the resort’s eight swimming pools. The golf course, in particular, is a treat. It’s a competition course and includes lakes, waterfalls and 25,000 trees! The best part, of course, is the Atlantic Ocean in the background.
After a relaxing day at the resort, there’s 10 great restaurants and five bars on the premises to choose from.
We suggest checking out the Tanganika Cocktail bar, a colonial style lounge, for some summery drinks before venturing for dinner at the M.B restaurant. Head over to the resort’s Wine Bar after dinner to enjoy a glass of your favourite red or white.
There isn’t a better way to enjoy the Canaries than this!
