Westin St. John Resort and Villa Makes the Cut as One of the World’s Top 10 Destinations

- Melissa Mewdell,

Rain and snow are huge downers in the winter. Who wouldn’t want to leave it all behind for a week or so to visit the sunny sandy beaches of the US Virgin Islands?

If you decide to take a trip to the USVIs, stay at the Westin St. John Resort and Villa. According to Trip Advisor’s 2008 Travelers Choice Awards, The Westin St. John is the number 7 destination in the world. And, given that it’s located on 1,200 feet of private beach (minutes from the Virgin Islands National Park), and is really close to the St. Thomas airport, it’s clear why.

This fantastic resort is featured in Kiwi Collection’s directory of luxury hotels.
There’s plenty to do at the resort from swimming and snorkeling to playing tennis or golf to relaxing at the spa.

The Westin St. John Resort VillasThey have a lot of variety with their rooms, as well. With 175 guest rooms and suites and 146 villas, there is plenty of room for you and your friends. Traditional guest rooms are oversized and face the beautiful Great Cruz Bay — what a view! Guest suites give you a bit more room, with one or two bedrooms. Villas offer guests the most comfort and privacy, and are made for larger groups and families.

We almost forgot to mention: this resort is definitely family friendly, and has activities for kids—not always an easy find when looking for upscale accommodations in this stunning area of the world. This is definitely a plus if you’d like to take the kids on a great beach vacation in the Caribbean.
We can’t think of a better place to ward off the winter blues than a vacation in the US Virgin Islands.
