As it happens, WOW.travel is off to Bhutan right this very moment - read all about our trip, next month. Meanwhile, this month there is, as always, a global of insight for you. Our insider is private jet broker Adam Twidell and our style specialist is Australia's best-known fashion designer Collette Dinnigan. We have Seven Sensational Hotels for New Year - sadly, our beloved Sultanate of Oman cannot be included as on October 21st, 2008, the government requisitioned all rooms in all big hotels and resorts in Muscat December 24-30, 2008, for a meeting of the Gulf Co-operation Council Summit, which will put undue pressure for room space on the lovely boutique Chedi Muscat, and such resorts outside the capital as Hilton Resort Salalah and Six Senses Zighy Bay. Around the World this month covers a tasting of grange wines, industry conferences in Hong Kong and Moscow, what the Ferragamo family is up to in Italy, Chanel in New York's Central Park, Sydney's amazing BridgeClimb and why Bali remains special. We also, uniquely share traveling round England with Andrew Davis to look what he is doing with von Essen Hotels.

Cathay Pacific's spacious The Wing, Hong Kong, offers it all
We are not amused by the crowded first class lounge that British Airways and Qantas share airside at Hong Kong International Airport. Gold card holders should give up on its tiny paper napkins and warm wine glasses and head to Cathay Pacific's spacious The Wing (photo), for butler service with real linens, free and easy internet, superb food and individual cabanas with tubs and showers.

Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai's location makes for a great stay
Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai is closest hotel to polo and racing at the Mahalakshmi Race Course. We loved the hotel's Sunday brunch, its futuristic two-floor Super Potato-designed San'Qi (three energies) restaurant: we first met Executive Chef Giancarlo di Francesco at a Singapore favorite, Prego. GM Armando Kraenzlin, who drives the only Ferrari-red Ambassador round town, came from the Maldives.
