Huka Lodge's Alan Pye Cottage opens this month
Last time at Huka Lodge, four miles from Taupo, New Zealand, we loved waking up in villa 13 and seeing an enormous heron in front of the swirling Waikato River outside. Owner Alex van Heeren's ongoing enhancements include a two-bedroom Alan Pye Cottage, opening this month.

Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai is closest hotel to polo and racing at the Mahalakshmi Race Course. We loved the hotel's Sunday brunch, its futuristic two-floor Super Potato-designed San'Qi (three energies) restaurant: we first met Executive Chef Giancarlo di Francesco at a Singapore favorite, Prego. GM Armando Kraenzlin, who drives the only Ferrari-red Ambassador round town, came from the Maldives.
