Alto Atacama is located in Chile's Catarpe valley, close to the pre-Columbian Pucara de Quitor, and ten minutes northeast of San Pedro. The road is great for taking a walk into the town, with views of the Andes and local farms along the way. The hotel also provides a transfer service; just ask at the front desk. The closest airport is the Calama Loa Airport - a two-hour flight from Santiago. Alto Atacama can arrange a private airport transfer, which takes about an hour.
