Apoka Lodge

For travellers who want to be as far from the city as possible. The Apoka Lodge is located in Kidepo, one of the most spectacular parks in Uganda. Situated on a large rocky kopje (hill), the Apoka has only 10 rooms, all built of wood, thatch and canvas. Luxury furnishings and décor are inspired by the savannah, providing a feeling of oneness with the landscape, without losing any of the luxury touches one craves when in the wild.

From the veranda of the Apoke, watch a constant parade of wildlife across the landscape, including elephants, cheetahs, zebras, buffalos, antelopes, and over 200 species of birds. With your trained guide, track game along the sandy riverbed, then dive off a huge boulder into Uganda's only rock pool.

In the evening, sit in the outdoor bathtub as the sun sets, bathing the entire valley in a golden light. Then drift off to sleep in your bed draped with soft Egyptian cotton sheets, and listen to lions roar in the distance.
