Although sometimes harsh and unforgiving, Australia's Outback is a majestic and soul-cleansing place. Nowhere is that better illustrated than here at Arkaba Station; an outpost of bush luxury that manages to set guests comfortably in this wild frontier without taming the spirit of the surrounding lands.
Guests wake in one of five cottages, surrounded by thick stone walls underneath corrugated bush roofing. Outside, small 'roos bounce around in the woods, putting a smile on your face as you relax in the tub. What you won't find here, though, are the distractions of TV, phone, or even a minibar.
Not to worry, though, as libations abound. Being all-inclusive, the bar at Arkaba is very, very open. Aussies are well known for their love of a good laugh and a fine bottle of local wine.
When you're not enjoying Shiraz at sundown, get out and about. 4WD trips, wildlife treks, sheep station tutorials, mountain biking, and Aboriginal culture activities are all part of your package.
