BLUE Sydney is more than a simple boutique hotel. Housed within a historic wharf building, it provides a shining example of urban renewal - and stylish accommodation.

BLUE occupies the front of a wharf building that's said to be the largest standing wooden structure in the southern hemisphere.
An arresting mix of old and new, BLUE Sydney is one of the hippest addresses in Australia. The heritage building honors its past, with much of the original timber exterior intact. Inside it's a different story, with sleek, faux-industrial common spaces and 100 well-appointed rooms and lofts.

BLUE Sydney sits on the Wharf at Woolloomooloo, which, aside from being fun to pronounce, plays host to some of the city's top restaurants. The undisputed star of the wharf, however, is housed within BLUE itself. Water Bar, named Sydney's best bar by a number of local publications, strikes a balance between chic and casual, inviting patrons to stretch back on plush ottomans while soaking up the booze, er, ambiance.

Many of Sydney's main attractions - including the Opera House, of course - are within walking distance. Also nearby are the financial and shopping districts, and Royal Botanical Gardens.
