Byblos Art Villa Amistà is more than just a destination in the Italian wine country of Valpolicella. It's a blend of design, art, and life by architect Alessandro Mendini.

A 15th-century manor, Amista is dressed in modern attire. Each guestroom is decorated in fanciful colors with period furnishings, plastic objects d'art, and Byblos design accessories. The hotel boasts a permanent art exhibition featuring many well-known artists, including Damien Hirst. These works are arranged in thought-provoking positions throughout the villa and the 15th century wine cellar, where guests can sample the local vintages before retiring to the Istituto Henri & Dominique Chenot spa for a mind and body unravelling.

Dining at Restaurant Atelier is an event in itself, where traditional dishes featuring vegetables grown in the hotel's garden are served with a flamboyant international twist, while Peter's Bar is the perfect place for a post-wine tour cocktail.
