The Castlemartyr Resort in Cork is a modern hotel behind the facade of a 17th-century Irish manor house. The ruins of a 800 year old castle, from which the hotel gets its name, holds tales of Knights and Earls fighting over rich land.

For vacation activities, fishing and horse riding are a southern Irish mainstay whereas quad biking and rally driving are newer ways to feel the rush of the outdoors.

Beds in the regal suites are king size (of course) and sit next to a central computer system that controls the TV, air conditioning, lighting, and drapes. If his or her highness ever feels the need to leave the bed, the rainforest shower and large bath will serve the most demanding of needs.
