Château de Mirambeau - this is no ordinary hotel. As the name suggests, it's a legitimate castle, turrets and all. This incredible property was built in 1820 on the foundation of an 11th-century fortress in Mirambeau, France.
Here, you'll find 14 rooms and nine suites, all decorated in neo-Gothic style - canopy beds, claw-foot tubs, and ornate textiles and furnishings. Outside, the hotel is set on an immense garden with sprawling lawns, majestic fountains, and an outdoor pool. It's truly fit for a king.
Château de Mirambeau also offers some very cool activities, appealing to budding chefs and sommeliers alike. Take a culinary class with the restaurant's head chef or participate in a tasting session at the castle's "cognatèque".
