Modeled after a French palace in Loire Valley, Chateau Marmont is graced with 63 rooms, suites, cottages, bungalows and penthouses. Almost all the accommodations have a kitchen, and all of them have sound proof walls (make what you will of that!)
If you arrive at the Chateau with a preconceived notion of what it will be like inside, you'll be delighted to know that you're probably right. The décor is a patchwork blend of gothic, retro-rival and retro-chic working in concert to create a hotel that is both historic and hip.
Now, arriving at the Chateau on Sunset strip with a vision of what it will look like is one thing, but anticipating who you'll encounter, or what you might get up to while you're there, is quite another.

Chateau Marmont is hidden away in a tree-protected enclave above Sunset Strip in Hollywood California. The hotel is about a 20-minute drive from LAX, but count on it taking closer to 90 minutes in traffic. The legendary shopping of Rodeo Drive is only 8 minutes away, and should you desire to hit the links, Los Angeles Country Club is down Santa Monica Blvd.
