Now, it's a tropical destination for the jet-set, and a very exclusive experience for guests of Cotton House, a converted 18th-century plantation house.
This boutique resort is surrounded by greenery, and framed by panoramic views of both the Atlantic and Caribbean. The grounds are worth a wander, both for their tropical beauty, and to check out the historical remnants of the plantation. A coral reef just offshore makes the hotel's beach one of the best snorkeling spots on the island. And the Beach Club Cafe provides fluffy towels and various preferred liquid refreshments.
There are 17 rooms, suites, and villas at Cotton House. All are spacious, and luxuriously decorated. The views are varied, from gorgeous garden and swimming pool vistas, to the endless ocean horizon.
