A beyond-intimate, four-suite Riad in the center of the teeming medina, Dar Mo'da is to intrepid luxury-lovers as an oasis is to those lost in the unforgiving desert: a miracle.

Italian and Moroccan styles mix and mingle with the greatest of ease right in the Medina.

Here in Marrakech, the market teems with local shoppers and shop-keeps engaging in a dance as old as time: trade. It is unceasing, and often flamboyant. Bright textiles seem to float from stall to street, and rich spices are piled up to almost impossible peaks. Sneezing would be a bad idea...

For all its beauty and curiosities, the market can sometimes become a tad too much for those used to a more serene locale - or at least the opportunity to pop in to one. Luckily, Dar Mo'da offers exactly that.

This escape hatch in a storm of activity offers only four majestic suites, making for an intimate experience. Cool off in the central courtyard's pool, or get up above it all on the rooftop patio. A little mint tea, a few deep breaths, and views of a sunset that almost seems surreal complement any day just perfectly.

If by chance you don't fill up on local fare, Dar Mo'da offers two dining spaces, both serving up large, Moroccan shared-style dishes rife with dried fruits, spices, nuts, and braised meats.

The four suites go by the names of White, Green, Red, and Black. Each is unique, and dressed on a modern rustic Moroccan style. Pile up your treasures found in the market, and prepare for a peaceful night's sleep.
