At an elevation of 8,000 feet, the unforgettable desert oasis of explora en Atacama is nestled at the base of the Andes in Chile - literally on a level all its own.

Explora's private stables provide the opportunity to explore unique territory on horseback suited to your equestrian experience.

Amid the ancestral lands of Chile's Ayllu de Larache plains, the Hotel de Larache at Explora en Atacama offers casual elegance and an unforgettable experience in an otherworldly setting.

Situated on the Atacama flats at the foot of the volcanic Andes range, the Explora en Atacama features 50 tastefully appointed rooms, including the spacious Catur Suite, all of which require a minimum three-night stay.

You'll need at least three days to take in everything the region has to offer, from explorations on foot and horseback, to swimming in the local pools and nearby hot springs. Inspired local cuisine, TV-free rooms, and a traditional Turi Puri massage room are located in a restored Adobe hut and ensure that you'll retire in comfort afterwards.

At night, far from the lights and sounds of the city, it's impossible not to relax, as a deep silence descends over the desert and the skies become perfect for stargazing at the nearby observatory.
