Mix your own Italian soda at reception with locally-made syrups.
Six concierges for just 18 rooms and cottages. That should give you a good grasp of just how intimate and attentive things are at The Farmhouse Inn.
Arriving on the mostly-treed, six-acre property, guests will immediately get hit by a feeling of nostalgia. Even if you grew up far away from Sonoma Country, the charm here is infectious.
Choose to stay in a cottage, originally built in the early 1900s for farm workers. Inside, things have been significantly gussied up since then. Think jetted tub, heaven-sent bed, and Flat-Panel TV. Main House rooms have an even older pedigree, and feature fireplaces and sweeping property views. Newer Barn Rooms create a modern and minimal take on country living, with galvanized fixtures and Carrera Marble bathrooms.
At the Spa, local ingredients like honey and apples are distilled into therapeutic remedies by way of a copper still. The concept is farm-to-treatment, and it is a memorable one.
The inspiration for this concept comes straight from the Farmhouse Restaurant. Organic, local, and sustainable produce is used to accent meats from as close as up the road. Honey from the property's bees, and heirloom tomatoes are just a few of the flavors prevalent here. Being in Sonoma, wine is on everybody's lips - especially those of the Sommelier, who conducts the Farmhouse's wine program with finesse and subtlety.
