Night Club Hotel
Henrik from Copenhagen gave it a 7 out of 10 - reviewed May. 1, 2013
I spent four nights at Fountainbleu in April 2013 right after Springbreak.
The hotel lacks some with regard detail in the rooms.
In the bathroom the handle controlling the water kept falling off and I found what looked like vomit on my matress from a previous occupant on the last day of my stay.
The hotel staff was friendly, but did seem a little stressed.
One day as I ordered a drink by the pool using my room key the pool attendent gave my room key to another guest, thereby effectively shutting me out of my room, so i had to talk to the conceierge to get a new room key.
However if you are in Miami and want an exclusive and wild party experience the Fountainbleau is the place to be.
In the weekends the beat goes way up and you should start in the pool outside, drinking drinks, rent a cabana and listen to the house music that is all over from speakers around the resort.
In the evening you can have a dinner at the Gotham steak and continue into the Glow bar where you find an amazing vibe.
If you are up to more you can go to LIV night club and have some world class clubbing.
This is what the hotel excels at, but if you are into a romantic getaway or are bringing children I would recommend to find another hotel

Good choice
Marcos from Porto Alegre gave it a 8 out of 10 - reviewed Mar. 13, 2013
The hotel is huge, but is well organized and offers excellent accommodations. A big mistake, in my opinion, is that the hotel don't let you use the minibar for your personal stuff unless you rent it for 20 dollars a day!
Average Rooms
K from Chennai gave it a 6 out of 10 - reviewed Jun. 28, 2012
The rooms are average and the service (particularly the concierge) is below average. The location is poor as its the end of Miami beach and located far from most of the shopping/ocean drive.
I took time to see the W & Ritz since i come to Miami often. I would recommend the W or Ritz without hesitation compared to this.
I had an 8.40pm flight & had requested a late check-out of 2pm/4pm since I have a 2yr old, but the hotel insisted to charge 1/2 the room rate for a 2pm/4pm check-out. I paid anyway. I would have preferred the W where I am a frequent guest & would have got a 2pm at least, if not a 4pm.
However, my review is not based on them charging me for a late check-out. The location/quality of the hotel is average anyway.
Great if you like to party...
Michele from Las Vegas gave it a 7 out of 10 - reviewed Jun. 6, 2012
If you are looking for a relaxing hotel to stay at during your weekend this is NOT the place to be. But its not all bad.....
I would recommend this hotel for its spa, beach and pool but only during the week. On the weekend you have to get up early to get a beach or pool chair. And the party scene is in full swing on Friday/Saturday/Sunday. There are many college kids and people looking for action. But I did admire the pool and beach staff that tried to make everyone feel welcome and tried to find chairs for us.
This hotel drinks and food can get very pricey and there are not many "non hotel" restaurants nearby. I would recommend any package that includes breakfast otherwise its $70 for 2 people.
Rooms are nice especially if you get one with a bathtub. Also staff were very helpful in trying to get a room that accomodated us.
Southbeach is a $10 cab ride away from the hotel if you want to see all the craziness but I am glad we stayed in Miami beach compared to southbeach.
All in all a beautiful hotel but can get too busy and too pricey. The would return in the off season for the spa and the pools.
