Atop a hill on the windswept Central Plateau of Namibia sits GocheGanas Lodge. At this renowned nature reserve, life cleaves into two states - at home and away. Away means being out on a game drive. Drives take place in the early morning and late afternoon, and with 21 wildlife species - rhinos, giraffes, and zebras among them - on the reserve's 15,000 acres, there's always something to see.
At home, you're also well taken care of. Each of the lodge's 15 suites is spacious, with a private terrace (or timber deck) and an en suite with bath and shower. The spa, which boasts a cave sauna in a cathedral-like masonry vault, has treatments as detoxifying as they are pleasurable.
