Grace Bay Club

My boyfriend and I just returned from a 4 night stay at the Grace Bay Club. We took a 3 hour direct flight from New York JFK and were at the hotel checking in approximately 20 - 30 minutes later. The staff were extremely welcoming and a rum punch is swiftly inserted in your hand as you are greeted by your personal concierge and escorted around the resort grounds.

The resort is divided into 3 main areas - the Villas, the Hotel and The Estate. We stayed in the Villas hoping to get an upgrade via Kiwi but unfortunately were not lucky on that front. The room was actually very nice but it is in the family friendly building which wasn't an issue until the last day when the family moved in next door! Otherwise the Villas and the Hotel section seem about the same. You can use either pool. The Villa pool is family friendly but you can medicate at the swim up Rum Bar or you can use the adult Infinity Pool. We were not allowed to use the Estate pool. That is for Estate Guests only although we did one day just for a dip! All the pools are a couple mins walk, no more, between each other and are steps from the beach as are the rooms.

The beach is gorgeous. White talc like sand and crystal clear water. Service is available on the beach by putting out a flag for food and drinks. There is also a guy there to organize Parasailing or tubing at a moments notice along with non motorized water sports.

Food was generally good at the hotel but this is what I would say. Breakfast is average and service patchy. Lunch is absolutely delicious pool and beach snacks. By far the best food you will eat at the resort. Dinner at the Anacona restaurant is highly overpriced and I live in Manhattan and eat at some of the best restaurants. I would recommend venturing out to Da Conch Shack and Coco Bistro for dinner. The first one super casual but a lot of fun and an island experience and the second an upscale very delicious local food experience. Don't miss out on spending evenings at the Lounge Bar though. We loved it here and there was live music every night. On that point Saturday night the music was a bit loud and it turned into a disco atmosphere. Not really what I was expecting in Turks and Caicos at this resort. When we went back to our room we could still hear it but it quietens down at midnight.

We had beach side massages in the pool cabanas which was a nice experience. You can also have private dinners on the beach which looked nice if you are into that sort of thing or have a special occasion. Three couples got engaged in the 4 days we were there!

You will get a personal concierge available to you from morning to night to book restaurants arrange birthday cakes and book spa appointments. You will get a mobile phone upon arrival. Don't be scared to use it they were very very helpful.

We were sad to leave and will definitely consider a return trip mainly due to the convenience from NYC.
