The Grand Hotel Bellevue in the car-free alpine village of Gstaad Switzerland opened in 2002. The décor in all 57 double rooms and suites are an exercise in the unexpected. Minimalist and contemporary interiors feel connected to the Grand's Art Nouveau roots, and retain a feeling of warmth with honeyed hues and refined splashes of black, white, and red - not to mention Philippe Starck beds.

In 2005, The Grand opened two smaller, but by no means secondary, chalets. True to form, each suite fuses the traditional and contemporary, in addition to a unique theme - from Asian to Etolies - in every suite.

This luxury hotel in the Bernese Oberland region is graced with a one Michelin Star restaurant that prepares haute cuisine for the most particular palettes. Alternatively, Coelho offers a more tradional brasserie menu. No matter where you decide to eat, arrive early because you'll need time to choose one of 10,000 bottles stored in the Carnotzet vaulted cellar.

Traveling to the Grand Hotel Bellevue is the Swiss region of Bernese Oberland is an easy affair. There is a train station in the Village of Gstaad which connects to virtually every city in Europe.
