There's something inherently romantic about watching the opera at the Scala de Milan. Especially while staying in the Verdi Suite, named after the composer, Maestro Giuseppe Verdi.

In the heart of Milan a mere five blocks from storied Scala de Milan Opera House, the Grand Hotel et de Milan has 72 rooms with 23 suites including the lavishly decorated Guiseppe Verdi Suite. The namesake of which is best known for his operatic opus "Othello." Décor throughout the hotel ranges from genuine period furnishing and objects d'art to rooms with a more contemporary, even eclectic feel - a refreshing mix for a luxury hotel in Milan, Italy.

So much of the Grand Hotel et de Milan is rooted in the cultural history of Milan and its connection to the opera. Even Gerry's, the cosmopolitan bar, has become the go-to place for after-theater refreshments. This, of course does not preclude it from being an exceptional and impressive place to hold an informal business meeting, or to share an aperitif before a dinner at the very formal Don Carlos Restaurant, which incidentally, was also created and decorated in homage to Maestro Giuseppe Verdi.
