Under the long shadows of crumbling Heidelberg Castle sits the Old Town of Heidelberg. Here, amongst charming period buildings and cobbled streets, is the restored Heidelberg Suites Boutique Hotel.

Take the Hotel's Golf Buggy to drive across the pedestrian bridge into Heidelberg's historic center. Or take one of the hotel's bicycles. Or walk. The Old Town is across the river.

Looking off your balcony, the Neckar River winds its way around where the mountainous terrain dips below its wide banks. The brick pillars of the Old Bridge only serve to split and slow the water briefly before it carries on past, draining into the Rhine.

As its name implies, Heidelberg Suites Boutique Hotel has only suites, no rooms. Each is fitted with tasteful, creative furniture pieces, each one designed by Michele Bonan, and available for purchase from the hotel’s design studio. You’ll also find at least two bedrooms and a full kitchen, not mention Flat-screen TVs and an iPod station. Outside of your room is a wellness area and steam bath, plus a breakfast lounge and rooftop terrace.

The Old Town itself is full of curious endeavors. Touring Germany’s oldest University, paragliding over the Rhine, shopping the local market, or heading out on a folding boat are just some of the exploits sure to steal you heart, here in one of Germany’s most romantic cities.
