Perched on an island off the coast of Venice, luxurious Hilton Molino Stucky offers jaw-dropping views of the romantic Italian city with its twisted streets and stripey-shirted gondoliers.

This hotel is actually a conversion of Stucky's 1884 pasta factory.

The 380-room Hilton Molino Stucky Venice cuts a striking figure against the Venetian skyline. While the hotel owes its good bones to a history as a flour mill and granary, it easily channels this Italian merchant city's transition to art hotspot and tourism Mecca with impeccably appointed rooms, featuring touches like fine Venetian fabrics, timber-beamed ceilings, and chandeliers from sparkling Murano glass.

Located on Giudecca, a cluster of islands across from the charming, tangled streets of Venice, the Hilton Molino Stucky is a quick gondola ride to many attractions, including beautiful Saint Mark's Basilica and art-filled Guggenheim. When you inevitably get lost in the labyrinthine city, chock-a-block markets and gelato stands are easy distractions.

comfortable rooms - good value for money

Even the standard rooms are vast. Bed is comfortable.
Breakfast is good (except the horrible concentrated orange juice) and breakfast team is smiley and attentive.
Free shuttle to city center is frequent and fast
There property lacked a little soul, but it's part of a chain, so it's forgiveable.
Good value for money but not unforgettable.
