East meets west at the Hotel Albergo, an Art Deco hotel in the heart of old Beirut. Through the doors of the charming ochre façade, visitors find a blend of Oriental, western, and Lebanese décor.

Here, no two dwellings are alike. Decorated in an array of antiques (see: Ottoman chandeliers and rows of porcelain jars), rooms are clad in fanciful wallpaper, and open to private terraces surrounded with jasmine and orange blossoms. Marvellous bathrooms feature antique furniture, stained-glass windows, and welcoming touches like fresh flowers, candles, Molten Brown products, and crystal dishes filled with Dead Sea salt.

Guests are steps from the Grand Serail, National Museum, or Sursock Museum of Modern Art. Want to venture further? Ask the concierge to arrange a private tour of Tripoli or the Temples at Baalbek.
