In a city with so many superb hotels, this place shines, great value for money, excellent rooms, good location, charming staff, lovely bars and restaurants (but expensive), small pool and gym.
Great hotel, Service could be improved

Loved hotel itself - this would be near the top of boutique hotels in most cities.
Pros:
-The rooms were very nice with great finishing, an incredible shower, and a very comfortable bed.
-Gym was very functional with nice equipment.
-19th floor infinity pool was small, but spectacular.
-24th floor rooftop bar was very cool and trendy.
-Medici, the Italian Restaurant, had incredibly authentic food and a great atmosphere.
Negatives:
-Great neighborhood, however location is about 1/2 kilometer from the nearest skytrain stop. Not long, but can be sticky in the oppressive heat/humidity. Also, expect the same walk to reach most restaurants and shopping. We walked for hours each day we were there, but did wish the hotel was more conveniently located. Not an issue if you cab it.
-Service: Was a bit schizophrenic. Check-in was very smooth and they upgraded us to a high level room and were very polite. However, when we asked the concierge for dinner suggestions an hour later, she was completely clueless and couldn't provide any suggestions for a restaurant or spa (both of which are not hard to do in Bangkok). What's worse, she eventually pointed and sent us to the left out of the hotel saying there were lots of restaurants. 45 minutes into a walk to nothing, we gave up. As we were new to the city and naive at the time, we didn't realize it was the completely wrong direction she sent us. Concierge should be better at a hotel of this class. Had a problem with the safe in the room and it took 3 calls to the front desk for them to send someone up after an hour to fix something in 30 seconds. Some minor tweaks to service could have made this a 9/10. Location can't be changed
Fantastic place

For those of us who use Kiwi Collection as a guide to find out if there are any great offers in places that normaly stretch your budget to max this is an amazing hotel.
The room was lovely, we were upgraded to à corner room and after à plonge on the soft bed we decided to extend our stay with an extra night.
With compliments of the GM ( Alex ) the extended night was at the same rate and in the Same room.
The infinty pool on the 19th Floor is fantastic, eventhough there are only 8 ( 4x2) sunbeds it is enough and the poolbar menu is perfect for some European food.
For us its final that we will at The Muse for every visit to Bangkok!
Compliments all over.
