World renowned interior designer Nini Andrade Silva, who designed Porto's Hotel Teatro, would surely deserve a standing ovation from the crowds that once filled the original theater back in the mid-19th century. Sure, tastes change over 120 years, but the feeling of drama and passion remains constant through design trends past, present, and future.

This work of passion holds 74 rooms, each welcoming in tones of bronze, gold, and deep brown. Natural wood and lush fabrics draw you in, and crisp white bedding demands you lay down and stay a while.

Dine at Palco Restaurant or drink in Plateia Bar for a modern taste of the cool sophistication of the original theatre. The design here pulls from various time periods to create a temporal stopover that holds you in a sort of gastronomic fantasyland you'll never want to leave.
