Just to the west of the hotel is Casa de Campo, the largest park in the city, which also has a zoo and amusement park within its grounds. Just to the east of the hotel is the Royal Palace, the largest palace in all of Europe, and the official home of the King of Spain. Shopping districts and art galleries abound in this area, and the international airport is 30 minutes away.
