As its creators observe every year, Sweden's ICEHOTEL never stands still. The Torne River is harvested on a yearly cycle to construct the solid ice accommodations of ICEHOTEL, and it gradually regains its loan as the land of the midnight sun takes its toll. The intervening months are a magical time, when visitors from all across the globe flock to the village of Jukkasjärvi to enjoy reindeer sandwiches and some of the comfiest blocks of ice around.
Each cold accommodation is a carefully constructed wonder, from the ornate Art suite to the Ice and Snow rooms. Amenities include a sleeping bag, one-of-a-kind ice carvings, and a cup of hot lingonberry juice before breakfast. ICEHOTEL recommends that you split your trip between cold and warm accommodations, comfortable chalets and hotel rooms with all the amenities in place.
During their stay, ICEHOTEL guests enjoy dog sledding, snowshoeing, glimpses of the northern lights, and of course, post-adventure cocktails at the trendy ICEBAR.

The ICEHOTEL is, if nothing else, secluded in its northern Sweden location. However, it's easily reached from nearby Kiruna Airport, a short 20-minute ride by bus. For the adventurous, a snowmobile or dogsled can be requested for a stylish arrival.
